چکیده
Solar flares are a transient phenomenon occurred in the active region (AR) on Sun’s surface, producing intense emissions EUV and soft X-ray that can wreak havoc near-Earth space mission satellite as well radio-based communication navigation. The ARs accompanied with strong magnetic fields manifested dark spots photosphere. To understand photospheric field properties of produce flares, two associated X-class namely AR 12192 12297, respectively 25 October 2014 11 March 2015, studied terms classification various physical parameters. images from Langkawi National Observatory (LNO) parameters Space-weather HMI Active Region Patches (SHARP) used this study. A total seven SHARP examined which calculated sums quantities have been identified useful predictors for flare forecast. These classified βγδ sunspots whereas their formation size quite different each other. Our results showed intensity has little relationship area an free energy; temporal variation individual parameter no obvious consistent pre-flare feature. It is concluded may not be predicting onset time flare.

Vertical Lorentz Force and Cross-field Currents in the Photospheric Magnetic Fields of Solar Active Regions
We demonstrate that the vertical Lorentz force and a corresponding lower limit of the cross-field electric current density can be calculated from vector magnetograms of solar active regions obtained at a single height in the solar atmosphere, provided that the vertical gradient of the magnetic field strength is known at this height. We use a predicted vertical magnetic field gradient derived fr...
متن کاملOn the Force-Freeness of Photospheric Magnetic Fields in Solar Active Regions: The Current Density Method
We introduce and apply a method to investigate the force-free character of the photospheric magnetic fields in solar active regions. The vertical current density, inferred from vector magnetograms, is decomposed into a helical (assumed field-aligned) component, and a component perpendicular to the magnetic field. Contrary to the classical method of calculating the integrated Lorentz forces, the...
متن کاملMagnetic field inclination and atmospheric oscillations above solar active regions
Recent observational evidence for magnetic field direction effects on helioseismic signals in sunspot penumbrae is suggestive of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) mode conversion occurring at lower levels. This possibility is explored using wave mechanical and ray theory in a model of the Sun’s surface layers permeated by uniform inclined magnetic field. It is found that fastto-slow conversion near the...
متن کاملThe Magnetic Classification of Solar Active Regions
The purpose of this letter is to address a blind-spot in our knowledge of solar active region statistics. To the best of our knowledge there are no published results showing the variation of the Mount Wilson magnetic classifications as a function of solar cycle based on modern observations. We show statistics for all active regions reported in the daily Solar Region Summary from 1992 January 1 ...
متن کاملGamma-Ray Polarimetry of Two X-Class Solar Flares
We have performed the first polarimetry of solar flare emission at γ-ray energies (0.2–1MeV). These observations were performed with the Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI) for two large flares: the GOES X4.8-class solar flare of 2002 July 23, and the X17-class flare of 2003 October 28. We have marginal polarization detections in both flares, at levels of 21 ± 9% and -...
